And they’re blocking again… On Monday morning, the climate stickers started another protest action.
Since 7:43 a.m., the environmental chaotic people have been at the corner of Frankfurter Tor and Frankfurter Alle in Friedrichshain. Traffic is disrupted in four directions at the highly frequented intersection.
According to the police, there should be 15 chaotic people on site, most of them sticking to the asphalt. It backs up into Möllendorfstrasse as far as Lichtenberg, and Warschauer Strasse is also completely closed. Also affected by the closure: The M10 tram line.
The group had announced on Sunday: “The coming Mondays there will be sit-ins across the country.” In addition, targeted protest actions against “the rich” should start this week, it was also said on Sunday. The climate catastrophe is made “primarily by the rich”. We want to draw attention to that.
A three-week summer break has been announced from July 15th. From August 7th there will be a campaign in Bavaria in particular, also with a view to the state elections there in October.
The climate protectors have been blocking roads in Berlin and other cities since January 2022. They call for more decisive action by politicians for climate protection. In May, police and public prosecutors searched 15 of the group’s apartments and business premises in seven federal states. The allegation was to form or support a criminal organization.
