Clemens fails early at the World Grand Prix in Leicester

The German darts professional Gabriel Clemens failed in the first round at the World Grand Prix 2022 in Leicester, England.

The 39-year-old from Saarwellingen lost 0:2 against the Dutch UK Open winner Danny Noppert in the traditional major tournament of the PDC association.

This year, for the first time, two Germans will be at the start in Leicester. Late in the evening, Martin Schindler meets world number one Gerwyn Price from Wales.

A total of £600,000 will be paid out at the tournament, with the winner receiving £120,000.
