Before the glittering party, there was a lot of shivering: on Wednesday evening, KaDeWe celebrated the “Grand Opening” with 2,000 guests. Long queues formed in front of the door.
Inside the atrium, the guests (including Lars Eidinger and Kim Fisher) were not only greeted by a blue carpet and a tree-to-ceiling Christmas tree, but also, of course, sparkling drinks.

Reason for the party: For years, the KaDeWe has been extensively renovated and beautified for 300 million euros. Now you’re almost done and no longer presents yourself as dark, cluttered and confusing.
The highlight is the almost futuristic spiral escalator (covered with walnut wood). The 6th floor also shines a lot more – the gastronomic offer has improved. Of course, the party guests were happy to see for themselves.
