Clarice Stenger causes a lot of annoyance with viewers of RTL Boulevard with her naughty nail polish. She says she regularly gets complaints that it would really be too distracting.
A show section on television is not complete without its own TV lawyer and at RTL Boulevard it is none other than Clarice Stenger, whose office assists supermarket brawler Glennis Grace, among others. She causes relatively little irritation, but she does when it comes to her nail decoration.
‘What nonsense!’
Clarice regularly receives comments from viewers. “Most of the comments are about my nails, which can really excite some viewers. They would distract. Such nonsense. Why are you not allowed to speak out as a lawyer? Why am I too old for something?” she says in De Telegraaf.
She does not let the RTL viewers tell her how she should present herself. “Last year I filled my entire ear with earrings, because I like them. If I can have a piercing on my 16th, can I also on my 44th?!”
‘Don’t touch me’
Is Clarice awake that many viewers are annoyed by her nail polish? Not really. “If I am criticized because I have said something that is not correct, I find it annoying. I want to rectify that. I don’t like criticism of me as a person, but it doesn’t affect me. I don’t respond to that either.”
Finally: how are her children now, who for years she only used potatoes, carrots and mashed ham? fed† There was a lot of fuss about this three months ago. “The children have now run off with it and suddenly resent me for not liking anything because of me. Although they are not wrong about that.”

When it comes to food, Clarice is a terrible farmer, and she has now passed that on to her children. She also finds eating out such a drama. “I often find the food itself creepy. I especially find tents with complicated things on the map annoying. Lamb chop? Geez! Coriander? Brrr!”
Lamb chop and coriander; very complicated indeed. What does she do with that? “I play with my food a bit and just shift things around. In the end, my husband eats what’s left on my plate, haha,” said Clarice (44).
