The parent company of the retail chain Claire’s has filled a key position. On Tuesday, Claire’s Holdings LLC announced that Laurie Ann Goldman has been appointed Chair of the Board of Directors. She succeeded Samantha Algaze, who the company said will remain on the board of managers.
With Laurie Ann Goldman, the retailer was able to recruit a renowned manager. According to the company, she has more than thirty years of management experience in well-known companies from various industries. After positions at the retail group Macy’s and the beverage manufacturer Coca Cola Company, Goldman was CEO of the lingerie supplier Spanx from 2002 to 2014. She also headed the cosmetics company New Avon for a short time.
Hailing the new Chair of the Board as a “significant asset” to Claire’s, CEO Ryan Vero said, “Laurie Ann’s incredible track record, commitment to brand development and operational excellence, and unique perspective complement our vision and will help ensure continued long-term success in strengthening our brand and to secure range,” he said in a statement.
