Civilians under fire: a week of war in Ukraine

This week, world leaders again discussed the war in Ukraine. First they were in Bavaria for the G7, then in Madrid for a NATO summit. It was about the delivery of Western Wpaens to Ukraine and the accession of Sweden and Finland to NATO. Meanwhile, the people of Ukraine are suffering from shelling from Russian missiles. From the start of the invasion on Feb. 24 to last Sunday, at least 4,731 civilians were killed and 5,900 injured in Ukraine, according to the United Nations. Among the dead are 330 children. This week, Russia again targeted civilian targets, in cities far from the war zone. A flat in Kiev was hit on Sunday and a shopping center in Kremenchuk on Monday.
