The Ciutadans soap opera at the Barcelona City Council will live a new chapter this Wednesday that could be the last. The three councilors of the group, Paco Sierra, Noemi Martin and Julia Bareawill meet at 10:00 to decide whether to remove the initials of Ciutadans from the group.
In this way, the party would lose its formal presence in the consistory, because its initials would disappear and because it does not control any of the three councilors, who are openly in conflict with the leadership headed by Carlos Carrizosa.
Records and expulsion
Sierra, Martín and Barea are considering eliminating the initials of Ciutadans as a result of the last decision announced by the party, the opening of files at two seconds due to the fact that they have not taken advantage of their two-to-one majority to kick Sierra out.
Ciutadans sources confirm that the files have been opened, although they remember that the two affected now have the option of presenting allegations before the process culminates in their expulsion. Neither Martín nor Barea have so far received a communication about the files.

Sierra, who was already expelled from the party, led a riot in October that ended up unseating the then president of the group, luz guilarte. The councilor emphasizes that he and Noemí Martín, who had then been edila for seven days -after replacing Celestino Corbacho when he resigned from the act to retire – they offered Guilarte to continue in his position if he agreed to dismiss the group’s coordinator, José María González.

But Guilarte chose to leave and incidentally left not only the council but also politics, to return to the private sector and to a life, without a doubt, much more placid than the one he had in Ciutadans given the prospect of municipal elections in which the brand faces a more than considerable risk of being left out of the council.
The management elected as mayor Anna Graudeputy in Parliament, who faced ex-edil Koldo blanco in primary elections and won them, thus confirming that he will head the party list in the municipal elections.
