The Berlin-based indie label is celebrating its Schnapszahl existence there in June. Several acts will perform in the Festsaal Kreuzberg.
The Berlin label City Slang celebrates its 33rd anniversary on June 16th in the Festsaal Kreuzberg. The evening will feature various artists from the label.
“The number 33 has a great meaning for us, because it is the speed at which our favorite records spin,” the statement on the celebrations begins. “We have a great lineup of artists new and old from City Slang performing live.” Among them are Gold Panda, Mckinley Dixon, Noga Erez and Roosevelt with an exclusive DJ set. In addition, some newcomers will appear, “including Zouj, Sprints, Softee and Sen Morimoto,” it said. “It will be a night full of great music, good vibes and lots of surprises,” promises the label.
The event starts at 7 p.m., the first acts are announced from 8 p.m. The pre sales has already started, the ticket price is 44 euros.

The label also represents international acts such as Arcade Fire, Caribou and Nada Surf in their concerns on European soil, but also German bands such as the indie group The Notwist. It was founded in 1990 by Christof Ellinghaus, who had previously toured with Nirvana and Soundgarden.
