City of Kortrijk and LAGO reach an agreement on corona support
It is not surprising that LAGO asked for support from the city council. Many companies found themselves in heavy weather during the corona crisis and that is certainly no different for swimming pools. On the contrary, swimming pools had to close their doors for months on end and could only slowly restart towards full functioning.
In light of this public-private partnership, they asked the commissioning board to help them cope with the impact of the corona crisis. After a year and a half of negotiations, an agreement was finally reached. It was agreed that the city of Kortrijk will grant a one-time corona subsidy amounting to 50% of the losses incurred in the swimming pool on their territory. LAGO, for its part, makes a capital increase in the company for the same amount. In this way, each party is responsible for bearing half of the losses incurred.
