City council of Coevorden runs for Lidy in the fight against muscle disease ALS

It is precisely because so little is known about the disease and what can be done about it, which makes this day so important, according to the family of Klein-Gunnewiek. “The disease continues continuously,” says daughter Desi Meijer. “We always hope for a stop in the downward trend, but unfortunately that has not happened so far. My mom finds it very annoying that she cannot fight against anything. At least now she can do something for other people, so that people may receive medication in the future.” Lidy Klein-Gunnewiek is also undergoing research in Utrecht for this. She lets it be known that she is currently trying to doubly to enjoy days like this.

At the end of Saturday’s sponsorship campaign, the amount is almost 19,000 euros. The target has since been adjusted again. The family of Klein-Gunnewiek and her fellow councilors now hope to collect 20,000 euros for the ALS Foundation. You can make a contribution for another week, on this donation page.
