If the objections from other action groups are added, the counter amounts to around 2,500 objections. Lichtervelde also supports the citizens’ platform. On Monday, the full municipal council gave an unfavorable advice against the Ventilus plans as they are now presented.
“We are well aware that the impact such cones have in our municipality for the people who live under or near them is very strong,” says Mayor Ria Beeusaert-Pattyn. “We certainly want to support the population in their questions and objections that they make upon the arrival of those cones.”
