Cinderella remix “3 Hazelnuts” goes viral

DJ Felix Harrer transformed the “Waldszene” soundtrack into a techno remix.

An unusual remix has conquered the world of music – creating a connection between the timeless fairy tale “Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella” and modern remix culture. The combination of the cult film’s classic soundtrack with techno beats from DJ Felix Harrer is going viral on Instagram and TikTok. The Cinderella remix already has almost six million streams on Spotify.

DJ Felix Harrer made a techno remix of the music from the forest scene in which Cinderella and the prince meet for the first time. The “people’s DJ,” as he calls himself, never imagined that the track would go viral. The song was released two weeks earlier than planned (December 2nd) and was therefore a little early for Christmas decorations. A TikTok video that Harrer published himself ensured awareness – within 3 days, 4.5 million users had already seen the post.

“People’s DJ” from North Rhine-Westphalia

The artist behind the remix, Felix Harrer, comes from North Rhine-Westphalia and describes himself as a “people’s DJ”. In keeping with this, he appears in public – both on stage and on social media – in leather trousers and a red-checkered shirt. Harrer wants to combine folk music and EDM and thus be as a DJ “what Andreas Gabalier is in Schlager”, and with this mantra he made it to the techno festival Tomorrowland.
