Cigarette bum threatens man with carpet knife

On Thursday evening, an unknown person threatened a man with a knife in Kreuzberg. The police prevented worse.

According to the police, a 31-year-old was initially asked for a cigarette by a stranger on Falckensteinstrasse around 8:40 p.m.

After complying with the request, he went to a nearby city toilet, police said. However, the stranger followed him there.

According to the police, the stranger then threatened the 31-year-old with a carpet knife and demanded that all the rolling tobacco and his mobile phone and cash be handed over.

According to the police, the threatened man called loudly for help, which happened to be heard by emergency services in the vicinity. The officers rushed to the scene of the crime and arrested the attacker.
