Unfortunately, however, since there are millions of Italians who will move from parents, relatives and friends for the holidays, the idea came to everyone together and so there are no more tampons in the pharmacy.
Christmas in company, rush to swabs
From Lombardy to Piedmont, to Lazio the lines in front of the pharmacies that allow you to carry out the anti Covid-19 test, which previously only needed the unvaccinated to update the green pass, they are infinite.
And patience if the reliability is reduced. Now the priority is to be safe at Christmas, when dinners with family and friends will be the rule. And so you have to do it as soon as possible.
Quick buffers run out and reservations closed
The increase in infections has triggered a surge in requests ei diagnostic tests for the virus have become nowhere to be found. Not just the quick ones, why also find a free place for a molecular, the test that returns the most reliable result, without having to go to a private center, it is almost impossible.
The problem is that privately the costs are high, it ranges between 60 and 85 euros. And therefore the alternative, faster and cheaper, is the antigen test which is carried out by pharmacists or which can be bought in do-it-yourself kits. Or rather, these days, that you would buy at the pharmacy, because at the moment, the reservations are postponed until after Christmas or even in the new year.
The pandemic of children
To make the tampon machine go haywire, there is also another problem: the growth of infections among children which, since the beginning of December, has begun to put health care companies under stress and therefore, now those who do not find a place quickly in the public, rely on private individuals and pharmacies.
L’Iss, the National Institute of Health, confirmed that the 28% of new cases occurs in school age. Of the 384,000 people currently positive in Italy, about 100,000 are minors. And of these 51% are children between 5 and 11 years old.
The virus, therefore, runs especially in elementary school, the age group that has only started vaccinations a few days ago, 2.5% of the audience.

The situation is contagious
