Christmas markets: the most beautiful in Italy and Europe

Christmas markets: the time has come

The destinations are different and, from Italy to Europe, the cities where the most classic ones are found are, clearly, in the North. Starting from Berlin where, from November 22 to December 9, about thirty are set up in the streets and squares of the city. Crafts and gastronomy are the main products offered by the stalls

Also very characteristic are the wooden houses in the Gran Place in Brussels, set up from 25 December to 2 January. The best day is Saturday when a whole play of lights is projected on the Town Hall building, making the atmosphere even more Christmas.

Magic, lights and perfumes from Prague to Copenhagen

From November 26th to January 6ththe magic of Christmas thanks comes to life in the piazza della old town of Prague. Markets filled with scented candles, Bohemian crystals and local gastronomy are accompanied by live music. Can Vienna ever be missing in all this? No and in fact, the Austrian city from November 19th to December 26th is filled with lights, music and markets in historical places. The most beautiful is the Wiener Christindlmarkt, on Rathausplatz.ù

And which ones to visit in Italy?

In Italy there is certainly no shortage of Christmas markets and there are some just not to be missed. By now, almost all the main Italian cities have Christmas stalls in mind where you can find in particular handicraft products and local gastronomy.

Despite this, however, the best known in Italy and also the oldest ones remain those of South Tyrol and Trentino. The largest in Italy is that of Bolzano, followed by Merano, Brunico, Bressanone and Vipiteno. Most it starts in mid-November and continues throughout the Christmas period.
