Christmas magic in Wijnendale and Vlamertinge Castles

After a corona version last year, it is now possible again. The decors in the castle in particular appeal to the imagination. More than 3000 people have already registered for a visit. “It’s just nice to see all those people like this. I like doing it. Maybe I’ll do it again next year,” says extra Amber Deseure.

More than a hundred Christmas trees, fairytale decors, a musical experience: 45 employees worked behind the scenes for months to build everything. Catherine Lamaire of Kerstmagie Vlamertinge: “We started in September with the construction of the decoration and we were ready in mid-November to be able to start here at the end of November.” On the walking tour through the castle, visitors enter places that are otherwise never accessible: wander through corridors and rooms of a piece of West Flemish heritage.
