Christine and the Queens has released a new single, “Tears Can Be So Soft”. The song is the third single from the new work “PARANOÏA, ANGELS, TRUE LOVE”, which will be released on June 9th, after “To Be Honest” and “True Love” with 070 Shake. A music video for the track can also be seen.
Chris said of the new single that he wanted to create something that “creates that deep feeling, almost like in the womb, a hypnotic space for the voice to soar in its loneliness.” soft” represent an “interplay between the suffering that tears bring about in the first place and the gentle healing effect that they can have at the same time”.
Héloïse Letissier, Christine and the Queens real name, has this to say about the genesis of the track: “‘Tears can be so soft’ was created around this Marvin Gaye sample that caught my attention, this heady, elegant, in string arrangement floating in his melancholy.”

Non-binary French singer-songwriter and dancer Christine and the Queens released his debut album Chaleur Humaine in 2014, followed by Chris in 2018. The 34-year-old’s most recent record, Redcar les adorables étoiles (prologue) was released last year.
