Christian Louboutin announces first eyewear collection

The French luxury shoe brand Christian Louboutin is breaking new ground. The label’s first eyewear collection is scheduled to come onto the market in the spring/summer 2025 season.

As part of an exclusive licensing partnership initially limited to 2029, the Italian group Marcolin SpA will design, produce and market the brand’s eyewear products, both companies announced on Thursday.

Christian Louboutin is pursuing the strategy of becoming a “full-range provider of lifestyle luxury accessories,” explained CEO Alexis Mourot in the joint press release. Expanding the range to include glasses with the “ideal partner” Marcolin is a “logical” step.

Fabrizio Curci, CEO and General Manager of Marcolin, praised the now announced collaboration. “We are very proud that such a renowned and globally respected brand as Christian Louboutin has chosen us for its start in the eyewear industry,” he said in a statement. “This proves once again that the market recognizes Marcolin’s unique expertise in the design and manufacture of the highest quality luxury products.”

The Marcolin Group, based in Longarone in northern Italy, is one of the world’s leading eyewear manufacturers and is already an eyewear license partner for well-known international brands such as Tom Ford, Zegna, Guess, Adidas, Max Mara, MCM, Tod’s, Timberland and Skechers. The group also owns its own labels Web Eyewear and Ic! Berlin and an international sales network.
