Two weeks after the incident at the Oscars, where he was punched by Will Smith, Chris Rock made another joke during a performance about his collision with the actor. Rock made the joke, according to People, during a performance in the California town of Indio. “Life is good, I finally have my hearing back,” he said.
Until now, Rock said virtually nothing on stage about the event. Smith slammed Rock during the live show for making a joke about the haircut of Smith’s wife, actress Jada Pinkett. During his first performance after the ceremony, Rock said he was still processing the blow and the commotion after that.
The Academy decided last week that Smith will not be welcome at the Oscars for ten years because of the blow. Smith received an Oscar two weeks ago during the ceremony for his role in the film King Richard, about the father of tennis sisters Serena and Venus Williams.
