Choose your squatter is becoming a real titanic struggle. The polls has only been open since Monday morning, but the voices are already flowing in with tens of thousands. Brabant says en masse who made the very best carnival song. The second round of Kies Kraker will start next Friday, so the voices are desperately needed. This year there were a record number of submissions for choosing your squatter. From more than three hundred entries, after a six -hour session, the jury eventually nominated 33 songs that compete to become the carnival hit of 2025.
In daily choosing your Kraker Journaal we talk to you about the competition every day. For example, Mark will call on Tuesday with last year’s winners: CV de Gooiers. He also goes through the golden zone. That is the top 5 of the list in alphabetical order.
This Friday is an important first moment in the election. At 5.11 pm the lower 22 of the 33 songs fall off. The top 11 then again compensates for each other and everyone can vote for his or her favorite. And to indicate how exciting it can be: last year there was three voices difference between the winner and number two.
And that title is not only a huge honor, but can also be the start or a big boost of a career. And of course it is also nice to be in an illustrious list of carnival greats such as Lamme Frans, Veul Gère, Johnny Gold, Gebroeders Ko and Niek and Danny.
The winner of the coveted Kies Je Kraker Trophy will be announced during 3 hours Kes Vurraf on 28 February during the official start of carnival.
