Chinese tech giant Alibaba makes artificial intelligence available to the public | Abroad

Authorities in China have recently put more energy into supporting Chinese companies developing artificial intelligence, according to the British news agency Reuters. These technologies are increasingly part of the global economic competition with the United States.

According to Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Division, a part of Alibaba, other major technology companies such as OPPO, Taobao and DingTalk and educational institutions such as Zhejiang University have also committed to base their own models on Tongyi Qianwen. The head of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Division, Daniel Zhang, also former CEO of Alibaba, resigned earlier this week. He has been replaced by Eddie Wu, the current CEO.
