Chinese President Xi offers British condolences on Elizabeth’s death
Chinese President Xi Jinping offered his condolences to Britain on the death of Queen Elizabeth. He did so not only in a personal capacity, but also “on behalf of the Chinese government and the Chinese people”.
The monarch’s death is “a great loss to the British people,” Xi said. The Chinese leader met the British Queen in 2015.
