China wants to further stabilize supply chains

China will take further steps to stabilize industrial and supply chains to boost the industrial economy, officials said.

In the first half of the year, operations at factories were disrupted and some regions faced logistical bottlenecks due to the pandemic, Xin Guobin, vice minister of industry and information technology, said at a news conference on Thursday.

To meet the challenges, Xin said solid efforts have been made to keep industrial and supply chains running smoothly and consolidate the industrial economy’s recovery momentum.

The country will continue to ensure the implementation of a pro-growth package of measures to revitalize the industrial economy, Xin said.

Efforts will be made to strengthen monitoring and planning of operations in key regions, industries and enterprises, and help solve these enterprises’ difficulties, Xin said.

The country will step up implementation of the measures to help small and medium-sized enterprises overcome difficulties and meet the expectations of market participants, Xin added. (dpa)
