Nesime and Marinka participate in a charity run to raise money for Ukraine. Now that the war is less in the news, the two ladies from group seven decided to bring it back to the attention themselves. “It’s important that we don’t forget this,” said Nesime.
The two of them got behind the computer to email NH Nieuws that it is really important to pay attention to this. Today they run as many laps as possible in an hour-long sponsored run to collect money for Ukraine. NH Nieuws stopped by to encourage the ladies.
The teacher was also part of the sponsored walk. “An hour may have been a bit too enthusiastic,” says teacher Nikki, after which she continues running. At the end, Nesime and Marinka are also completely demolished. “Next time I want to do something other than running,” says Marinka. Nesime agrees: “How unbelievably heavy this is.”
The parents and sponsors can still deposit money until May 9th. Just after the sponsored run, the counter was already at 285 euros. “This will probably be much more,” says Miss Nikki.
