Several classes at the Jan Thiesschool in Rolde did not have normal gym lessons today. They went to the sand drift in the village. There are many slopes at this location to slide down with a sled or a plastic bag.
Making snowmen was a bit difficult. Because, says Lea Benjamins, the snow is a bit ‘powdery’.
“It’s just like icing sugar,” agrees classmate Mila Klaassens.
While waiting for groups 7 and 9, class parent Desiree Venekamp is trying out sledding herself. “We’re just a little early to practice,” she grins.
Accidents? Fortunately, these did not occur.
