From January 2022, childcare organizations are obliged to provide the Tax Authorities / Allowances with the childcare details of each registered child on a monthly basis. Yesterday, the Senate voted in favor of this amendment. An important step in improving the services to parents regarding childcare allowance.
Warn in time
With up-to-date childcare data, the Tax and Customs Administration/Allowances can see whether parents are receiving too much or too little childcare allowance. In the event of a large difference, the Tax Authorities/Supplementary Benefits can contact the parents. They can then check their allowance and – if necessary – adjust it. As a result, parents receive the amount to which they are entitled sooner and they run less risk of (high) recoveries at the end of the year.
Within the childcare sector there is a lot of support for the amendment of the law. 80% of the childcare organizations already voluntarily supplied the childcare details of children registered with them on a monthly basis. Due to the amendment of the law, the Tax and Customs Administration/Supplementary Benefits will soon have access to the childcare details of all children and parents can be better supported.
