A mother and her child were on foot and were hit by a motorist near a pedestrian crossing on Ambachtlaan. The child was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital in Nijmegen by air ambulance. Her mother was approachable. She was taken to hospital by ambulance.
It is not known whether the driver was injured. The police are calling on witnesses to the accident to come forward.
