A child died this afternoon after a collision in Alkmaar. The fatal accident happened around half past eleven this morning at the Nicolaas Beetskade in Alkmaar.
Due to an unknown cause, the cargo bike and the motorcycle collided. The child in the cargo bike was in bad shape and had to be resuscitated. The victim was taken to hospital by air ambulance, but died a short time later.
The police are investigating the circumstances and would like to speak to witnesses. The police are also looking for witnesses who saw the motorcycle driving in Alkmaar just before the accident
