Only one goal in 2024 for Juventus: the blue team’s place in the European Championship is no longer secure

The moment is not the best and even the person concerned knows it well. In 2024 Chiesa scored just one goal, against Sassuolo on 16 January, coming on as a substitute. And, more generally, after the four goals in the first five matchdays, Federico has entered the scoreboard just twice in five months. Some physical problems also affect him, luckily nothing to do with the cruciate ligament he underwent surgery on two years ago. Chiesa is fine today, he simply needs to improve his condition and Juve are convinced he can do so in the coming months, to present himself at the European Championship with Italy after a grand championship final. Some doubts remain regarding the tactical aspect, although it must be said that in the 3-5-2, things were going well in September. But it is clear that for Cristiano Giuntoli it would be complicated to accept Chiesa’s stay without renewal, with the risk of then losing the player to zero at the end of the season.
