Matches’ Chief Operating Officer (COO), Stuart Hill, has announced his resignation and has instead taken on the role of Chief Executive Officer for DHL’s UK e-commerce.
Hill succeeds Peter Fuller, who is retiring after seven years at the helm, as the distribution company pursues a continued growth strategy.
Announcing his appointment on careers network LinkedIn, Hill said: “This week I begin my new role as CEO of DHL E-commerce UK. I look forward to leading the company through its next phase of growth and the opening of the second DHL E-commerce UK. Commerce hubs in Coventry later this year.
Hill’s departure from Matches follows the takeover of the online luxury fashion retailer by Frasers Group in late December, which bought the formerly struggling business as part of its efforts to improve the group’s portfolio.
There were several senior management changes as part of the deal, with CEO Nick Beighton expected to remain at the helm of the company even after the final sale.
Hill took over as COO in September 2022 after serving as chairman of Lorry Route for more than five years and before that as senior vice president of logistics at Farfetch.
