The American clothing group Kontor Brands and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Tom Waldron go separate ways.
With the farewell of Waldron, the parent company of the Denim brands Lee and Wrangler also announced a restructuring in the management, as Kontor Brands announced on Tuesday.
Jenni Broyles takes over the roles of the Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer and Global Head of Brands – the latter position is already at Lee and Wrangler. She is responsible for the international and commercial business of both brands.
Joseph Alkire was also appointed Global Head of Operations. In addition to his tasks as an executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, he takes on the role and is responsible for the Kontor supply chain.
Both report to Scott Baxter. The account CEO said that the duo “deserves these extended roles through proven performance and strategic leadership”, says Baxter “This management team has the vision and the expertise to lead the strategic development of KONTOR, while we expand our brand portfolio, speed up growth and continue to create long-term value for our shareholders: inside.”
Waldron will leave his role as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer after a transition period to September 30th.
Baxter thanked Waldron for his more than six years of leadership role at Kontor and for his time at the predecessor VF Corporation (VF Corp). VF Corp had separated from its Denim brands in 2019 to found Kontor as a spin-off company.
