Under Armor Inc. will have to do without Chief Operating Officer Colin Browne in the future. Browne will leave the company in the fall, the US sporting goods supplier announced on Wednesday.
The COO has been with Under Armor since 2016, helping modernize the brand’s digital ‘go-to-market’ strategy and direct-to-consumer model. He was also instrumental in transforming Under Armor’s supply chain structure, the release said. In addition to his role as COO, he also held the title of Interim Chief Executive Officer from June to February this year. In February he was replaced by Managing Director Stephanie Linnartz.
A successor to the role of Chief Operating Officer is not being sought, the Company has instead initiated a search for a Chief Supply Chain Officer.
Under Armor is hiring a new Chief Product Officer
The company also has to say goodbye to Lisa Collier, who has worked for the brand as Chief Product Officer since 2020. She plans to leave Under Armor in August to pursue new challenges. Dan Relais, Head of Apparel, will take over her role on an interim basis. The search for a new Chief Product Officer has already begun.
“On behalf of all teammates at Under Armor, we wish Lisa the best in her future endeavors,” said CEO Stephanie Linnartz. “We look forward to continuing to build, develop and improve our product range based on the foundations she laid.”
More changes at Under Armor
Browne’s departure isn’t the only change at Under Armor.
Two additional roles were reassigned as part of the Protect This House 3 strategy, which focuses on increasing global brand awareness to accelerate growth in the United States. Jim Duasch will assume the role of Chief Consumer Officer effective July 24.
Like Linnartz, Dausch comes from the US hotel operator Marriott International Inc. There he previously held the role of Global Chief Product and Digital Officer. He will now be responsible for marketing, digital engagement and customer experience across all retail channels at Under Armor.
“As we continue to strengthen our foundation to transform Under Armor faster by driving a sharper focus and better execution of PTH3, we are pleased to welcome Jim Dausch to our leadership team,” said Linnartz.
Additionally, Danny Miles has been promoted to the position of executive vice president, chief technology officer. Miles, who has been with Under Armor since 2021, will report directly to Linnartz.
