Chernobyl nuclear power plant staff detained for more than 12 days, nuclear agency unable to contact monitoring system

More than 100 personnel at the former Chernobyl nuclear power plant have been detained for more than 12 days since Russian troops took the nuclear site on the first day of the war. That reports the British public broadcaster BBC. The situation is said to be “tense” and food and medication are being rationed. This also raises security concerns. In addition, the nuclear agency IAEA can no longer contact the Chernobyl monitoring system.
