Chemiereus 3M gave a half million euros betalen for the sanering van de gronden around the factory in Zwijndrecht. Is there a door open to the Flemish Minister Zuhal Demir (N-VA) or is there a deal? ‘I can onmogelijk zeggen of that bedrag voldoende is.’
571 million euros. Zoveel puts 3M chemical supplies on the table for the problem of PFOS processing around the factory in Zwijndrecht near Lossen. The following toxicologist Jacob de Boer (University of Amsterdam) depends on many things from a person’s point of view. “Everything depends on the technology used. What is the price of the case? Doesn’t that get burnt?” De Boer asks. “Het lijkt veel Geld, maar ik weet ok hoe groot de verontreiniging is en hoe moeilijk het is. En dus kan ik onmogelijk zeggen of that bedrag voldoende zal zijn.”
That minister Demir talks about an ‘open-end’ deal, doesn’t provide any other framework. The vraag is of 3M, that now we recognize the aansprakelijkheid, straks still bereid zal zijn om an extra requirement op te hoesten. Is there then a long legal veldslag? Volgens Demir dus niet.
Ongerust
