Chelsea ready for loan
With a fee of 113 million euros, Romelu Lukakus’ move from Inter Milan to Chelsea was the second-biggest in the past year. Just one year, many modest performances from the 29-year-old striker and a market value drop from €100m previously to €70m now, €15m of that in the latest Premier League update, later it looks like the course is set for made a spectacular return.

According to consistent reports from the “Guardians“ and the Italian transfer specialist Gianluca Di Marzio there was a meeting at which the common will of a transfer was explored – with a positive result. Accordingly, Chelsea are ready to give up Lukaku again, the Belgian no longer plays a major role in Thomas Tuchel’s plans.
With regard to a return to Inter, the Serie A player of the year 2020/21, chosen by the TM community, had already made positive comments at the turn of the year. Between 2019 and 2021 he spent the happiest time of his career with the Italians since his years at Everton FC (2013-2017). The sale last year also took place because Inter was dependent on high transfer income. In addition to Lukaku, Achraf Hakimi (23; PSG) and coach Antonio Conte (Tottenham since November) left the club.
Premier League Market Values: The June Update’s Biggest Losers
That is why the question of financing from the Italian side is still open – according to Di Marzio there is still a long way to go before the conclusion that all parties want to achieve. The Lombards can probably not afford a buyback. However, Chelsea are also willing to lend if the Milanese meet the Londoners in terms of fee and salary. A demand of 20 million euros is under discussion, but Inter would prefer not to pay any fee at all.
Lukaku’s dream club: Inter Milan before transfer from Empolis Asllani
According to information from Di Marzio, Inter is much further with defensive midfielder Kristjan Asllani. The 20-year-old was one of the shooting stars in Serie A 2021/22 and should be part of the necessary rejuvenation of the runners-up squad. The fee for Asllani, who plays for his youth club FC Empoli, is €14m. However, it is not yet clear whether the transfer will be processed directly or by loan with an obligation to buy – a common model in Italy for postponing transfer investments to later annual reports.
Asllani was one of the big winners in the last Serie A update and increased by 6.5 million to 10 million euros. An Inter player could also move to Tuscany, according to the journalist Alfredo Pedulla such as the striker Martín Satriano (21), who was loaned out to Stade Brest 29 and has recently developed strongly in France. Empoli is considered one of the best talent factories in Italy, young players are often loaned there by top clubs or transferred with a buyback option. In addition to Satriano, Sebastiano Esposito (19), who last played for Basel, is also a possibility.
