The free PlayStation games for June, which will then be available free of charge for PS Plus subscribers from the beginning of the month, were leaked in advance. TECHBOOK has checked what the new titles are good for.
Sony hasn’t announced the free PlayStation games for June yet, but there is a leak from a reliable source. Accordingly, there should again be three games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. So if you have a PS Plus subscription, you can download the titles for free from June 3rd.
Dealabs, among others, has now confirmed the leak. This underlines its authenticity, as Dealab has often distinguished itself in the past with reliable PlayStation leaks.
The free PlayStation Plus games for June 2022
According to the leak, PS Plus subscribers can look forward to three titles again in June, including a real blockbuster. But what good are the games? TECHBOOK has summarized reviews and player ratings.
God of War (2018)
The plot of this mythical action-adventure follows on from the popular “God of War III” (2010), whereby this game mainly focuses on the Norse mythical world, not the Greek one. Protagonist Kratos ended up in Midgard after his vendetta against the gods of Olympus. After the death of his wife, he embarks on an adventurous journey with his son Atreus.
The new setting was well received by players and critics alike. If you go by the ratings on Metacritic, “God of War” (2018) is even the best rated game in the series with a score of 94. The adapted combat system, which Kratos’ son with bow and arrow is well integrated, is particularly praised as well as visuals and graphical performance. The game won the Game of the Year category at the 2018 Game Awards. Normally players would have to pay 19.99 euros for the gaming fun, so the free PS Plus offer from June is definitely worth it.
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker
In this multiplayer online game, players compete against each other in groups of 4. There isn’t really a plot, it’s all about fighting and the different mechanics. For success you should know your shinobi (character) and its jutsus (techniques) well.
The game, set in the popular Naruto universe, received mixed reviews. While the critics complain about the lack of ingenuity and the resulting monotony, the action game is well received by players. In any case, anyone looking for an entertaining distraction could have a lot of PvP fun with the title.
Nickelodeon All Star Brawl
Based on the popular Smash series, in which well-known gaming characters punch each other in the cap, this game pits Nickelodeon characters against each other. Nickelodeon teamed up with indie publisher GameMill Entertainment to develop its fun, colorful fighting game. Spongebob Squarepants, Aang and Lincoln Loud are a few of the characters available.
Some of the reviews vary widely. While some are simply happy about a brawler game with the heroes of their childhood, others criticize that a different universe was simply put on top of the tried-and-tested Smash Brothers mechanisms.
PlayStation Plus Collection free for PS5 customers
Since the PlayStation 5 has been available since the end of 2020, the PS Plus games currently on offer also apply to the new console. But Sony goes one step further and gives all PS5 buyers the Plus Collection with a total of 20 games, including some hits.
The collection is intended to provide a basis for owners of the new console, for which there are not many new titles yet. The games are available for free download and play as long as PS Plus is subscribed.
