Two days before the release of their new album MEMENTO MORI (March 24), Depeche Mode performed live on Jimmy Kimmel’s late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, performing their single Ghosts Again. Singer Dave Gahan not only wore a glittery jacket and shimmering purple sunglasses for the performance, but also had a bit of glitter on his face. Martin Gore, on the other hand, performed in a black leather vest and trousers.

MEMENTO MORI is the first record since the death of Andy Fletcher, the third founding member of Depeche Mode. He died in May 2022 at the age of 61 from a ruptured aorta. Shortly after the release of the single “Ghosts Again,” the synth-pop band announced an expansion of their world tour, which now includes 29 more concerts in Europe and the US. The tour begins March 23 in Sacramento, California and concludes in Los Angeles on December 15, 2023.
On the occasion of the release of the new album, a fan campaign will also take place: A pop-up bus stops in eight German citieswhere the work can be purchased from midnight – and something else: the MUSIKEXPRESS issue 04/23, which is already sold out in our shop, with the Depeche Mode cover story and an exclusive 7-inch single: “Ghosts Again”.
