Cheaper fuel: three pumps briefly stunt with historic prices

Motorists can refuel very cheaply on Sunday morning at three petrol stations in Brabant. These are TinQ pumps in Eindhoven, Waalwijk and Boxtel. The action only lasts 22 minutes. Large crowds are expected at the gas stations. The gas station chain promises to steer the action in the right direction.

A total of 22 filling stations in the Netherlands are participating and three of them are in Brabant. These are TinQ filling stations at Hurksestraat in Eindhoven, Havenweg in Waalwijk and Brederodeweg in Boxtel.

The idea behind the action is that those 22 filling stations can fill up motorists for 22 minutes at the prices of 22 years ago. “The discount quickly increases to more than one euro per litre,” said the company, which has not yet announced the exact tank prices. The action starts at nine o’clock in the morning and therefore ends 22 minutes later.

Rush
TinQ promises to steer traffic around the gas stations in the right direction, because ‘large crowds are expected’. Among other things, traffic controllers and security guards are deployed by the company. “TinQ strongly calls on you to follow the instructions and directions during the action,” reads the press release.

Trucks and tractors are excluded from the action and it is also not allowed to fill jerry cans, the gas station chain reports.
