Cheap parking for shift workers – good for hard-working Berliners

Tens of thousands of Berliners will no longer have to get a parking ticket when they drive to work in the new year. Good this way! Because they work at night or have to get there early in the morning.

The fact that they get out of bed in the morning or don’t sit on the sofa in the evening is lucky for all of us: they care about our safety, our health, our care.

They are mostly Berliners who don’t earn much, so they shouldn’t use their salary to also feed parking machines. Berliners who don’t live in the city because they can’t afford it and are dependent on a car.

Such an exemption is not entirely free for the affected shift workers anyway. It costs four times more per year than a residents’ vignette. Still. Because it will soon be more expensive.
