• Microsoft with AI event on March 16th
• CEO Satya Nadella and Microsoft 365 CEO Jared Spataro expected as special guests
• Topic “Reinventing productivity with AI”
Hardly any other topic is currently being discussed as hotly as artificial intelligence. The success of the text robot ChatGPT, which was created by the Elon Musk co-financed software manufacturer OpenAI. Computer specialist Microsoft also recently invested several billion US dollars in the company, although the exact amount of the “multi-billion dollar” investment by the computer manufacturer was not disclosed. Shortly thereafter, the announcement followed that ChatGPT would also be integrated into the Microsoft search engine Bing. Other services from the software and hardware manufacturer have also been linked to AI software in the recent past.
“Reinventing productivity with AI”
At its own event on March 16, Microsoft now wants to provide information on how artificial intelligence could be integrated into work in the future. As the company announced in a press release, the event’s motto is “Reinventing productivity with AI”. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Microsoft 365 Managing Director Jared Spataro are expected to be special guests at the event. The event will take place via live stream at 5 p.m. CET. However, it was not revealed which focal points should be discussed specifically. The release simply says, “Learn how AI will transform the way everyone and every organization works.”
Integration of AI in PowerPoint, Word & Co.?
We can only speculate about which projects Microsoft wants to present as part of the AI event. The tech news portal The Verge recently reported that the group, run by billionaire Bill Gates was founded, to show the world how the company could integrate artificial intelligence not only in its search engine, but also in other core apps such as the e-mail program Outlook or the Office products Word or PowerPoint.
Microsoft launches AI “Copilots” in Microsoft Dynamics 365
In fact, at the beginning of March, Microsoft announced on the company’s blog about the launch of the “Microsoft Dynamics 365 Copilot”, an artificial intelligence used in the ERP and CRM software from Microsoft Dynamics 365 and an “interactive, AI-powered support for all business functions”. The copilot should help users have more time for “the best parts of their job” and less time for “mundane tasks”.
Microsoft’s focus on the area of artificial intelligence comes at exactly the right time, as many other competitors such as top dog Google are also increasingly establishing a presence in this area with the chatbot Bard.
Now it only remains to be seen which visions Microsoft will actually present for “the future of working with AI” on March 16th.
