That’s basically what it is. I can’t say much else about it.”
He continues: “It’s also something that doesn’t really concern the outside world, of course. It’s just a private matter. That is often not the case if you are famous. You all know that some things are on the street. That’s a shame, but that’s about it.”
And what about their children? “Yes, they are not on social media and things at all. They have very different things to do. It’s just not news to them. They are very relaxed about that.”
Cheating on me
The v-word has never been dropped once in Koffietijd. Presenter Vivian Slingerland suddenly: “No, it’s okay, isn’t it… Let’s be honest: it’s about cheating, isn’t it? That happens in the best families. The best thing is of course also the strongest: that you can solve it within your own framework. Can that be done with everything around you?”
Charly: “Ideally, for most people this is just in the private sphere. I’ve spoken to a lot of people who say: ‘Yes, we’ve been through this too, but it’s not on the street with us.’ I have hundreds of such reactions.”
Hundreds of celebrities
So it’s not something that abnormal at all, Charly wants to say. In fact, he points out that there are still hundreds of celebrities who cheat and may also be unmasked by the juice channels.
“There are also hundreds of colleagues that I know about and who are not on the street, but with those juice channels now probably soon. So yeah, that’s just the time we live in. But I think: it’s basically nobody’s business, but it’s something internal and we’re working on it.”
