Charlottenburg beauty bungler should finally pay

By Anne Losensky

The Charlottenburg beautician Monika S. (51) is accused of dangerous bodily harm. She is said to have used a scalpel and corrosive acid.

When trying to remove old permanent make-up from the faces of four young women, ugly scars and eyebrows remained, on which nothing grows anymore. That was in 2018/19.

Trial 2020, verdict on August 13: negligent bodily harm in six cases, 8000 euros fine (320 daily rates of 25 euros), damages for the disfigured women (4000 to 8794 euros).

Both sides appealed, more than two years later. Now everyone sees each other again in the district court, room 129: Here the blonde beautician, in great shape, smooth and well-groomed. Since her ex-clients, still disfigured. One hides her eyebrows under the white headband.

Treatment resulted in “third-degree burns,” “permanent hair loss,” “painful inflammation,” and hospitalization. The experienced beautician neglected her duty of care, said an expert. The women are still suffering. New cosmetic surgeries cost a lot of money, which they don’t have.

If the beautician finally paid her the money, the judges and prosecutors believe that the young women would be helped the most. Then they would even be willing to consider dropping the criminal case. Continued: November 14th. Verdict: November 21.
