Charlotte Kool beaten in individual time trial and drops far during Ladies Tour

Saturday started fantastically for Charlotte Kool in the Baloise Ladies Tour, but still ended in a minor. In the morning she won the first part of the fourth stage (her fourth victory in a row) and saw Lucinda Brand win the time trial in the evening. To make matters worse, the 24-year-old cyclist from Kortenhoef dropped far away in the general classification.

Brand won the individual time trial after crossing the line in 22.42 minutes. Kool did not cross the finish line until much later and thus dropped in the general classification. There seemed to be no measure to Charlotte Kool in the Baloise Ladies Tour in the first stages.

The cyclist from Kortenhoef also won the first part of the third stage on Saturday. The 24-year-old was the fastest after a ride from Breskens to Knokke-Heist. Kool has already won four times in a row, after the prologue and the first two stages.

The Baloise Ladies Tour will last until Sunday.
