Cross-country skier Charlotte Kalla ends her career. The Swede announced his decision on Instagram.
Kalla, 34, won three Olympic golds and three world championships in her career.
– The decision was not an easy one, but in the end, curiosity about life outside of sports weighed more on the horizontal cup, Kalla says in her press release.
Kalla’s last ski championships will be the Swedish championships in domestic scenery in Piitime.
The Kalla Prize Cabinet is looking for a peer. In addition to three golds, six silver medals were taken from the Olympics. All gold medals came from a different form of competition from different races.
In Vancouver, Kalla won the ten-mile race, in Sochi the message, and in Pyeongchang, the combined race.
At the World Championships, the balance was 3 + 6 + 4. The medal rainfall took place between 2009 and 2019.
However, the last years were difficult for Kalla.
