Actor Charlie Sheen58, stopped drinking alcohol in 2017. So he has been sober for almost 6 years.

– I have a very consistent lifestyle these days. These days, my life is all about fatherhood and my 14-year-old twin boys, Max’s and Bob’sabout growing up, he told People magazine.

According to Sheen, he ended up making a life change thanks to one of his daughters. The actress has two daughters: The same19, and Lola18.

– One morning I had forgotten that my daughter had an appointment, where I had promised to drive her. I had already had a couple of shots that day. I had to call my friend To Tony and to ask him to take us there, man times.

– We managed to get him there in time. But it broke my heart because I knew what he was thinking in the back seat: “Why wasn’t Dad driving?” So when I got home I sat down and thought about it for the rest of the day. The next day I stopped drinking, he adds.

Sheen’s sober life started with small goals.

– At the beginning, I decided that I would try it for a month to see if I would feel better and if my interactions with my loved ones would improve. And they got better. I thought I would continue for one more month then. That’s where it started, says the actor.

– It showed me that I should continue on this path. I couldn’t deny it anymore, he adds.

Before getting sober, Sheen had been taken to rehab several times. When drunk, the actor had, among other things, destroyed hotel rooms by banging and spent thousands of dollars on cocaine and paid women. Starring Sheen Two and a half Men -TV series had to take a filming break during the actor’s rehab, until the production fired him in March of the same year.
