It’s about “bringing Britney back with a bang,” they say.
Britney Spears has not released her own music since her 2016 album GLORY. Even though her father’s 13-year guardianship ended in 2022 and the musician is now free to decide when she releases something, things have become quiet about her when it comes to new songs. But now rumors are growing about a comeback album – co-written by Charli XCX.
“Bringing Britney back with a bang”
“The Sun” reports that Charli XCX will be part of the writing team for Spears’ next musical steps. The two artists have apparently not yet met in person, but that is not unusual. “The Britney album is kept top secret. “We’ve been working behind the scenes for some time to put together a killer set of songs to bring Britney back with a bang,” an unnamed source told the tabloid.
The unidentified source also says, “Charli has a great track record when it comes to writing clever pop songs,” which is likely a reference to her songwriting credits for artists like Iggy Azalea, Selena Gomez, Rita Ora and Gwen Stefani .
And there was even more information about the involvement of Charli She’s come up with a really strong track that will likely make it onto the album that Britney’s team hopes will come out in 2024.”
Charli XCX, whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison, previously wrote tracks for Spears’ album BRITNEY JEAN. In the end, none of the pieces made it onto the work.
