In Los Angeles, the villa on whose property Charles Manson’s sect murdered actress Sharon Tate and her unborn child is up for sale for $85 million. The previous owner of the luxury property is “Full House” creator Jeff Franklin, who bought the house in 2007 for “only” six million dollars. The screenwriter, producer and director would have made $79 million in profits from the property since moving in.
After the murders, the original house was demolished and replaced with a new mansion
The residence is the former property of star actress Sharon Tate and director Roman Polanski. On August 8, 1969, the heavily pregnant Tate was returning to her home with friends Abigail Folger, Jay Sebring, and Wojciech Frykowski after dinner when members of the Manson cult broke into the home and horribly murdered all four. It was the second in a series of murders by the Manson Family that terrified Los Angeles in the summer of 1969. After the murders, the original Tate/Polanski home was demolished and replaced by the new mansion, which is now for sale.
In the house there is a spa, a cinema, a gym, a hair salon, a bar and a billiard room
The luxury property was designed by the architect Richard Landry, who is already known in Los Angeles for his magnificent residences. In the completely renewed house there is a spa, a cinema, a gym, a hair salon, a bar and a billiard room. The property around it is also luxuriously equipped: In addition to a 70-meter-long pool with three waterfalls, there is also a 25-meter-long water slide, a private grotto, two whirlpools, a swim-up bar, a pond with koi fish and a so-called Find Lazy River in the outdoor area.
