Charles and Camilla play Elizabeth in series Eastenders because of anniversary | NOW

The British were able to watch the broadcast of the soap series on Thursday evening eastenders in which Prince Charles and his wife Camilla make their appearance. The BBC aired the episode.

The program begins with residents of Albert Square getting ready for the Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee Street Party.

The BBC had also provided a nice gimmick. While everyone is decorating the street, one of the residents is watching the TV showing Elizabeth’s balcony scene.

The images are from Thursday morning, as can be clearly seen. They were installed just before the broadcast.

Charles drinks a good shot of rum

Charles and Camilla meet some residents in Albert Square, such as the local greengrocer. The market vendor says that all his vegetables are organic and that he has continued his father’s business. “That’s so nice about London,” Charles admits. “That people take over the shops and market stalls from their parents.”

Camilla tells another resident who hands out rum from Trinidad that she once drank rum from that country. “And you are still alive”, the man replies, which gets the laughs on his hand.

Later, he offers Charles a shot of rum in his tea. “I thought you’d never ask,” says the prince, provoking a lot of laughter.

Camilla calls attention to domestic violence

Camilla also chats with a woman who has built a monument to her daughter who has been a victim of domestic violence. The royal says it is important that the victims are remembered.

For a moment there seems to be another riot when one of the residents thinks that the royals are not real, but doppelgängers. The man argues with an officer, but other residents manage to calm him down. At the end of the broadcast, a commemorative plaque stating the visit of the royals is unveiled.

When the glass is raised to Queen Elizabeth, the credits start in which Charles and Camilla are thanked for their cooperation in eastenders
