SMEs and large companies in the agricultural, catering or recreation sectors can annually claim a subsidy from the SLIM scheme. This scheme helps entrepreneurs to stimulate learning and development within the company. A number of changes are being made to improve and clarify the scheme. The amendment regulations are now open for consultation.

The amendment scheme increases the maximum eligible hourly rate for external consultants from €125 to €135 per hour (excluding VAT). This does more justice to the changing economic circumstances. You will also soon be asked for a pay slip to clarify whether the stated wage costs for internal hours are realistic and in line with the market.

Various activities are eligible for a subsidy under the SLIM scheme. Two of these activities required further explanation to provide applicants with greater clarity. The first clarification shows that a learning culture scan can be requested. This scan makes it clear what development needs there are to strengthen the educational working environment in the organization. In addition, the term ‘method’ in the regulation will be changed to ‘P&O method’, because it must primarily be aimed at the learning and development of employees in the organization. Applicants for a SLIM subsidy must make clear how the L&D method structurally contributes to the learning culture in the company.

Respond to the internet consultation until November 2

The amendment regulation that adapts the SLIM regulation is now available online for public (internet) consultation. Anyone who wants to do so can respond until November 2 internetconsultatie.nl.
