Changeable Club Brugge fights against KV Kortrijk to 2-1 win

Club jumps to third place in the Jupiler Pro League standings for the time being with 10 out of 15. Kortrijk is in fifteenth place with 4 points, just above the danger zone.

First home goal for Jutgla

Ferran Jutgla (4.) gave blue-black a dream start with his third goal of the season and first home goal in Bruges wages. Faïz Selemani initially intercepted his through pass to Bjorn Meijer, but the Comorese unfortunately slipped away. Jutgla then took the ball and gave Marko Ilic no chance. Ilic limited the damage in the opening phase by defusing attempts by Meijer and Kamal Sowah.

The Guys, however, struck back out of the blue just after half an hour: Pape Gueye (33.) had to push in at the first post after good preparatory work by captain Kristof D’Haene, who could just keep the ball in at the back line and the attacker offered a goal. After the equalizer Andreas Skov Olsen and again Meijer were immediately close to a new lead. Casper Nielsen also found Ilic in his way with a colliding shot. The team from Bruges was still paid for work in injury time when Meijer (45.+3) hit the target on a pass from Skov Olsen.

Chamber of Commerce restores balance in the second half

Kortrijk restored the balance in the second half. Simon Mignolet had to float a header from the returning Felipe Avenatti out of goal with a quarter of the game to go. Substitute Noa Lang, who is looking for a transfer, injured himself a few minutes after his substitute by turning his left foot. Ten minutes before the end, Jan Breydel was startled when Gueye brushed the leather against the sleeper.

KVK ended the match with one man less when substitute Youssef Challouk knocked down the steaming Clinton Mata from behind. Cyle Larin was eventually the umpteenth Club player who collided with Ilic in stoppage time, on the counter. Meijer saw a second goal blown through the nose in the final seconds due to previous offside.
